Motivated to succeed on a paper, research project, application or personal writing project? If you’re lost or stuck, the Writing Center provides free help to students with one-on-one tutoring. At the Writing Center, we:
You do not need a draft to get help. We're here to help no matter where you are in the writing process.

The Writing Center offers three different ways you can get help:
Hours/Dates: Monday and Tuesday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Hours are in place from Sept. 3-Dec. 14. Closed for Thanksgiving from 4 p.m. Nov. 27 through 9 a.m. Dec. 2.
Location: Library 136
Open to: AACC students, faculty, staff, family members, high school students and any other members of the community
Get help with: AACC writing and research assignments in all subjects; personal statements for admission, transfer or scholarships; cover letters and resumes; and personal writing projects
Is an appointment required? No
How to access: Come to Library 136 with two hard copies of your draft (printing services are available in the library) or your own laptop with an electronic version of your draft.
Hours/Dates: Open seven days a week with appointment slots ranging from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Hours are in place from Aug. 26-Dec. 14. Open during college holidays.
Location: Online via Zoom.

How to access: In Canvas, select Student Resources, then Enroll in Virtual Writing Center. Enroll in the course, then go to the course. Select VWC Resources. Complete the Orientation Module and Readiness Survey to gain access to the booking app, from which you can make appointments with Writing Tutors or Research Librarians.

How to access: Fill out our form when you're ready to request assistance (be sure to do this during open hours). Then monitor the email address you provided. A tutor will email you a Zoom link.
At the Writing Center, we want you to get a higher grade on the assignment you've brought to us. More importantly, we want you to improve your writing and learn concepts that will help you get higher grades on your next assignments. The Writing Center is a beneficial resource for every student. The Writing Center is happy to assist with transfer essays and other personal statements for admissions, scholarships, awards and contests. Members of the public, as well as students enrolled at AACC, are welcome to use our Zoom on Demand and in-person services. Begin the process of writing an effective transfer essay or personal statement by watching this instructional video.
As often as you wish, but at least one full day before an assignment is due. This gives you time to make the suggested revisions. Be sure to check the hours of our services first.
